Sesame Street Live and mushrooms

We had morel mushrooms this week! YUMMY! My grandma found someone selling them and so we each bought a pound from him. They are so good and it's sad we can only have them once a year, but it's probably why we like them so much! Look at the huge one that was in my bag!
We also went to Sesame Street Live on Tuesday. This was Maclain's first experience with anything like this (other than Chuck E Cheese and Mr Schucks) so he was amazed! Every time one of the characters left the stage he would ask "where did Elmo go? Where did Cookie Monster go?" I would always say "they'll be right back" Then one time he said "Where did Elmo go...Oh he is going potty...he'll be right back!" So cute...and so smart considering he isn't going to be 2 until July... I think he has going potty on the brain. He went 3 times this weekend on his big boy potty...I hope that means that being trained is in our near future!
We spent the weekend cleaning and doing yard work. Quinn was a big help like usual and I am so glad she is so sweet with her brother. They really are best buddies.

Happy Mother's Day!

What a busy but awesome weekend! On Saturday Quinn had her birthday party with her friends. We made tie dye shirts, decorated koozies, and painted our fingernails with tie dye fun colors. I even made a tie dye cake! It was a lot of fun! Thanks to Heather, Jenny and my mom for helping out. It made it go so smoothly!
On Saturday night we tried out Mark's new fire pit his parents got him for his birthday. Our old one was on it's last leg, so we got a new one and it was great! I don't know why I am more nervous with Maclain around it than I was with Quinn, but I am. He seems to be more fearless and so we are both going to have to get use to it. It was chilly so he snuggled on my lap for most of the night anyway.
On Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day. We had a great lunch at Kamber and Jamie's and then sat outside. Landon was really learning to hit the ball from a pitch, and I thought it was cute seeing preggo Aunt Katie out there pitching to him. Mark and the kids got me some new paving blocks for some landscaping, so we spent Sunday night getting that all in. It looks great and I love it! Thanks family! Quinn also made me some very special gifts at school. What a great day!

Dance recital and birthday party with family

Quinn did such a great job this weekend at her dance recital! I taped it with a wiggly Maclain on my lap, so please ignore the few seconds of feet taping! I was so proud of Mark too! He did a great job and made Quinn so happy by participating in this routine with her.
After the recital we had a family birthday party. She had a great time with her family and it was a beautiful weekend! We even spent yesterday in mom and dad's pool...it was great out! Sunny and mid 70's. I wanted to work in my flower garden, but the kids were so excited to swim.
